Poetry Reading #1: Gossip

Gossip in Bravo is a ravenous thing,
And most of us here have felt its sting.
Has Ms. Erasabeth Dunwich started to rot?
Are Stacey and Rex going to tie the knot?

I hear the de la Portillas have Rad Poisoning
and we know the Metro’s have Red Poisoning.
And apparently Cadence and Slink
Are trying to get Dead Poisoning.

Are Netflix’s bollocks covered in bling?
and is Max Capacity the Bandit King?
Someone told me the King’s Court is finished,
And I heard that Blu’s Lust is much diminished.

So if you’re a Vegasian who’s always Curious,
Or if you’re Varghul who’s always Furious.
Or any Pureblood listening in dismay,
Worry not. Ignore what the rabble say;

Be silent as a politician,
For talking may beget suspicion;
Instead, praise the judgment of the town,
While silently wishing you could burn it down.

For vermin only tease and pinch
Their foes superior by an inch.
Tis jealousy that drives the mob,
But soon they’ll be distracted by chop.

So, Natural Ones observe, a flea
Has smaller fleas that on him prey;
And these have smaller still to bite ’em,
And so proceed ad infinitum.
